Site Project Manager – 3-Year Fixed Term Contract

📍 Location: Porto Alto, Portugal (Onsite – Factory)

💼 Contract Type: 3-Year FTC

💰 Salary Range: Competitive

🕓 Working Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00–17:00 or 9:00–18:00


About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Site Project Manager to lead and oversee key transformation and transfer projects at our Porto Alto manufacturing facility. As the Site Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving large-scale supply chain and operational initiatives, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. You will work closely with cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders to optimise processes, strengthen governance, and foster a culture of accountability and excellence.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee all site-level project management activities, ensuring governance, reporting, and methodologies are effectively applied.
  • Manage project delivery end-to-end, ensuring alignment with timelines, budgets, and quality targets.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams across R&D, Quality, Procurement, Manufacturing, Logistics, and IT to deliver seamless project execution.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives, focusing on process optimisation and operational efficiency.
  • Prepare and present regular progress reports to senior leadership and stakeholders.
  • Develop and implement communication and change management plans to ensure smooth adoption of new processes and systems.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams, external partners, and vendors.
  • Identify risks, propose mitigation strategies, and ensure project objectives are achieved.


Qualifications & Experience

Essential:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain, Economics, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 4–5 years of experience in supply chain management, including at least 3 years of site-level project management experience.
  • Proven success in leading and delivering large-scale projects within a complex, global organisation.
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies and best practices.
  • Excellent leadership, analytical, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence at all levels.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Willingness to travel when required.

Desirable:

  • Experience within an FMCG, pharmaceutical, or manufacturing environment.
  • Professional project management certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2).
