For our client, an international company in the financial sector, we are seeking an experienced IT contracts and GRPD specialist.
The workload will include advising on and negotiating licences, technology related procurement, IP and privacy law.
Main responsabilities :
TECHNOLOGY CONTRACTS
- Draft, review, and negotiate technology agreements (software, SaaS, cloud, IT services).
- Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and internal standards, focusing on data protection and information security.
- Act as primary contact for technology stakeholders on contractual matters.
- Support vendor due diligence and contract lifecycle management.
- Maintain a register of key technology contracts.
- Advise on contract interpretation and escalate complex issues when needed.
DATA PROTECTION
- Develop and implement privacy policies and compliance programs (GDPR, UK DPA, FADP).
- Conduct data protection impact assessments for new projects.
- Provide practical privacy advice and training to internal teams.
- Collaborate with InfoSec and HR on data protection and breach response.
- Maintain processing records and manage data subject requests.
QUALIFICATIONS :
- Qualified lawyer, ideally admitted to practise in EU or UK
- At least 3 years’ experience in technology law and data protection.
- Solid understanding of GDPR, UK DPA, FADP, and other international privacy frameworks.
- Demonstrated experience in drafting, reviewing, and managing technology contracts within complex operational settings.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively alongside technology teams.
- Proven ability to operate in dynamic, fast-paced, and international corporate environments.
