What will you do as a Hardware Test & Verification Designer?

As a Hardware Test & Verification Designer you are responsible for designing, developing, and executing hardware testing and validation for complex embedded systems. Applies strong electronics knowledge (schematics, PCB design, signal behavior) to optimize performance and identify issues. Develops and maintains automated test scripts (Python required; LabVIEW, TestStand, or C/C++ preferred) and conducts HIL, reliability, and environmental testing.


Your responsibilities as a Hardware Test & Verification Designer:

  • Design, develop, and execute hardware testing, validation, and verification activities for embedded systems, ensuring product reliability and compliance;
  • Apply a solid understanding of electronics, schematics, PCB design, and signal behavior to identify potential issues and optimize hardware performance;
  • Conduct and support HIL (Hardware-in-the-Loop) testing, as well as reliability and environmental qualification testing;
  • Collaborate closely with embedded software and firmware teams; a hands-on programming mindset is preferred;
  • Work in a structured, plan-oriented manner, maintaining high accuracy in documentation, traceability, and reporting;
  • Take a consultative approach, translating test results into clear and valuable recommendations for design improvements and product optimization;
  • Act as a technical consultant, capable of operating across different customer environments to ensure quality, robustness, and regulatory compliance of embedded hardware products.

What do you bring as a Hardware Test & Verification Designer?

  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics, Computer Science, Embedded Systems, or a related technical field;
  • 5+ years in hardware testing, validation, and verification;
  • Strong understanding of electronics, schematics, PCB design, and signal behavior;
  • Proficient in Python (required); experience with LabVIEW, TestStand, or C/C++ is a plus;
  • Familiarity with HIL testing, reliability testing, and environmental testing;
  • Affinity with embedded software and firmware; hands-on programming skills are preferred;
  • Plan-oriented and accurate, with strong skills in documentation, traceability, and reporting;
  • Able to interpret test results and translate them into actionable recommendations;
  • Comfortable acting as a technical consultant across various customer environments, ensuring the quality, reliability, and compliance of embedded hardware products;
  • A good command of English, and preferably Dutch language.
