The QA Tester will be responsible for planning, executing, and reporting on the testing of our client’s innovative software applications. They will collaborate closely with the Quality Management team, as well as with Technology Development, Business Operations, and external development partners, to ensure the delivery of an exceptional user experience.

Responsibilities:
• Execute manual testing activities, including functional, regression, smoke, exploratory, and negative testing, across multiple mobile devices in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities and scope.
• Conduct software testing in alignment with business timelines and sprint schedules.
• Develop and maintain test scripts, perform test execution, and compile detailed reports and metrics for management and development teams.
• Take ownership of tracking software defects throughout the resolution lifecycle.
• Collaborate with the Technology Development team to reproduce, analyze, and troubleshoot identified issues.
• Propose and implement new tools and innovative approaches to enhance testing performance and efficiency.
• Support the rollout and adoption of the client’s Quality Management System processes across the organization.
• Work with the Quality Management Team to oversee the software release process and prepare Design History File (DHF) documentation.
• Demonstrated ability to manage and deliver multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving skills and the capacity to grasp complex relationships between product functionality and requirements.
• Ensure a balanced focus on both automation and manual testing within the team.
• Conduct timely team meetings to assess and address current risks, while motivating the team to find effective resolutions.
• Continuously elevate the standards and quality of testing processes with each project.
• Establish clear procedures for test plan reviews and ensure all stakeholders are actively involved in the review process.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related STEM discipline.
• 5+ years of experience in software testing, with a focus on mobile applications (both iOS and Android).
• Proven experience working in an Agile environment, collaborating with cross-functional teams as part of a Scrum framework.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong organizational abilities, and exceptional attention to detail.
• Proficiency with standard software development and testing tools such as JIRA and test case management systems like Zephyr Scale or TestRail.
• Must have: Excellent verbal and written skills in both English and German.
• Preferred: Familiarity with FDA 21 CFR 820 and/or ISO 13485 regulations related to medical device quality management systems.
• Preferred: Experience in preparing medical device technical documentation or other forms of technical writing.
