My client is a major player in the business software space, with over 700 tech professionals globally. This role is for a specialized business unit that they acquired, which builds a market-leading SaaS platform for the hospitality industry. The product is a complex, feature-rich platform that helps restaurants manage everything from kitchen recipes and warehouse logistics to employee scheduling, with integrations to major suppliers.
You'll be joining a growing team based in their brand-new Utrecht office as of January 1st. They're looking for a hands-on leader to drive both the team and the technology forward.
About the role:
- You will start to learn the domain and participating in important architectural decision. After the first period, you will be able to lead a team of 7 developers (Senior, Mid-level, Junior) in the Netherlands and provide technical direction to a dedicated team of 15 in Macedonia.
- You'll spend roughly 40% of your time on hands-on technical tasks and architectural decisions, and 60% on people management, stakeholder alignment, and team strategy.
- You will have end-to-end ownership and a significant say in the architectural direction of the product.
About the stack:
The teams are integrated into a Scrum-based workflow, giving you broad technical oversight. The tech stack is modern and focused: .NET (migrating from Framework to modern .NET8), C#, Angular 18, MS SQL, and Azure. They have a highly automated CI/CD pipeline built on Azure DevOps.
Who are you?
- 8+ years of professional software development experience, primarily with C# and the .NET ecosystem.
- Proven experience with web-based development.
- You are aiming towards a managerial career path! This is a leadership track role, designed as a stepping stone towards a Development Manager position.
- Solid understanding of cloud principles, ideally with hands-on experience in Azure.
- An understanding of containerization concepts (Docker, Kubernetes) is beneficial.
- You are a strong communicator, fluent in English, and thrive in a hybrid work environment.
What they offer:
- Salary up to €88,000 base, depending on experience. This includes holiday allowance and 13th payment at the end of the year.
