Senior Frontend Engineer

Join the engineering team driving the evolution of one of the world’s leading meal-kit delivery platforms. The team ensures that millions of customers across the globe can seamlessly and securely complete their payments for meal subscriptions.

At this stage, the main goal is to implement system changes that enable support for new payment methods through existing providers, ensuring that all recurring payments are processed successfully and on time. The scope of work includes updating and extending existing systems, integrating with third-party payment providers, testing new functionality, and maintaining clear, high-quality documentation.

You’ll work in a collaborative environment focused on reliability, scalability, and continuous improvement of payment services - making a direct impact on the customer experience and the company’s core business.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain scalable frontend applications supporting new payment methods via existing providers.
• Build and test UI components in Next.js, React, and TypeScript.
• Integrate with APIs and third-party SDKs for payment processing.
• Use Redux or React Query for efficient state management.
• Apply Emotion or Styled Components for consistent, reusable styling.
• Ensure code quality through automated testing (Cypress, Jest) and reviews.
• Collaborate in an Agile team, contributing to best practices, documentation, and continuous improvement.

Skills Required

• 5+ years of professional frontend development experience.
• Strong knowledge of React, Next.js, and TypeScript.
• Hands-on experience with state management (Redux, React Query).
• Solid understanding of testing tools (like Cypress).
• Proficiency in CSS-in-JS libraries (Emotion, Styled Components).
• Experience integrating third-party SDKs and APIs.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and Agile workflows.
• Strong communication skills in English.

This is an independent contractor opportunity based on a direct contractual relationship between Zoolatech and the individual service provider.

To facilitate this direct partnership, we engage with professionals who are registered and operate as a sole proprietorship, private entrepreneur, or an equivalent self-employment status in your country.
