Svitla Systems Inc. is looking for a Senior AOSP Engineer (C++) for a full-time position (40 hours per week) in Poland. Our client is a remote-first company that serves over one million drivers and more than 100,000 businesses, powering the physical economy by building technology to enhance the safety, productivity, sustainability, and profitability of these businesses. The Automated Operations Platform combines IoT hardware with AI-powered applications to automate vehicle and equipment tracking, driver safety, compliance, maintenance, spend management, and other key operations. The client serves over 120,000 businesses across various industries, including trucking and logistics, construction, oil and gas, food and beverage, field service, agriculture, passenger transit, and delivery.

Requirements
- 5+ years of professional software development experience.
- Solid background in C/C++ development.
- Experience with Kotlin, Android lifecycle management, and database/persistence technologies.
- Hands-on experience in AOSP build environments and build setup.
- Working knowledge of Android or Linux kernel development.
- Video processing experience — such as developing Android applications with live video streams or working on hardware devices that include, or function as, a camera.
- Understanding and appreciation of automated app testing.
- Experience optimizing camera/video pipelines on embedded devices.
- Familiarity with low-level debugging and hardware-software integration.
- Design, develop, and maintain features for AOSP-based device using C/C++, with some Java and Kotlin.
- Collaborate with the product team to clarify requirements and refine feature specifications.
- Work closely with back-end engineers to define and improve API contracts.
- Diagnose and resolve user-reported issues in collaboration with the support team.
- Analyze user data to identify, reproduce, and fix bugs.
- Ensure code quality through best practices, including automated testing.
- Stay current with emerging Android, AOSP, and embedded development trends.
