Havguard AS develops hardware and software solutions spanning from seabed to space, with a primary focus on underwater communication. We are engaged in long-term customer projects, including the development of an AI-based routing protocol for multi-domain communication and multi-modal underwater communication solutions. Founded in 2023, Havguard has quickly become recognized as a disruptive start-up, receiving accolades in April 2024 from the underwater community at NATO HQ. The responsibilities you will have

As a senior electronic and software engineer you will have to design and implement advanced electronic functions and technologies in harsh industrial and defense embedded applications.

This is how your main tasks will look like

- Propose and implement modern IoT and AIoT architectures and applications, identifying the optimum integration and deployment mode and strategy 

- Identify and justify the choice of technologies suited to an application 

- Drafting and ensuring the technical documents required for the development and integration of IoT applications 

- Prototyping mechanical system integration 

- Design and develop hardware platforms (SPICE, / PSPICE, CAD, DAO, routing – Eagle – KiKad…) 

- Design, production and integration of ULNA, MODEMS and medium-frequency analog electronic circuits 

- Preparing and specifying EMC tests for equipment and product certifications 

- Design mechanical enclosures and mechatronic systems 

- Identifying and proposing mechatronics test and mechanical integration strategies (tool FUSION 360) 

- Actively participate in the development, integration or implementation of applications 

- Seek innovative solutions and participate to research on subjects requiring the deployment of IoT applications 

- Monitor technological developments in your area of expertise 

- Train and produce documents enabling the transfer of skills relating to your area of expertise 

- Identify technological and scientific bottlenecks to propose development and industrial roadmap 

- Validate and characterize the performance of the solutions delivered 

- Participate in the deployment of our solutions with the client 

What team Havguard is looking for

• You have an engineering degree with more than 5 year of experience or a Ph.D in electronics/telecommunications with a specialization in embedded system or IoT.
• You have a proven successful experience of managing development, deployment and integration projects for IoT and AIoT applications. 
• Expertise in electronics and mechatronics development and integration tools and platforms (Eagle, KiKad, Fusion 360, etc.) 
• Experience in digital modulation/demodulation technics and its hardware/software implementation 
• Schematic and PCB design experience
• Fluent with electronic test tools and environments (network and spectrum analysers, etc.) 
• Mastery of MCUs and DSP development tools 
• Solid knowledge of hardware development and integration of embedded/edge systems
• Good knowledge of RTOS and embedded operating systems 
• Experience in production rules of industrial PCB assembly and mechanical assembly processes (Gerber, Excellon, Chip Shooting, Plasturgy, 3D printing) 
• Fluency in English (>C1) 
• Strong analytical mind and ability to adapt 
• Curious and proactive 
• Rigorous and autonomous 
• You are ready to work on-site at our facility at Fornebu
• You are open to learning new skills and working as a highly functional team

Salary will be dependent on education and experience.
