We’re supporting a rapidly scaling tech startup in Dubai that’s building next-generation backend systems — and they’re hiring a Principal Golang Engineer to take a lead role in shaping their architecture, performance, and engineering culture.

This is a hands-on leadership opportunity for someone who loves building robust, scalable systems and wants to have a real say in product and technical direction.

What you’ll be doing:

• Leading design and development of backend systems using Go
• Driving technical decisions, architecture, and scalability strategies
• Mentoring and guiding other engineers
• Collaborating closely with product and DevOps teams to deliver high-performing solutions
• Championing best practices in code quality, testing, and deployment

What we’re looking for:

• 8+ years of backend engineering experience, with strong focus on Golang
• Proven experience building scalable, distributed systems or microservices
• Deep understanding of APIs, performance optimization, and cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP/Azure)
• Experience in startup or fast-paced product environments
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• Bonus: experience in fintech, trading systems, or high-availability platforms
