🏗️ Principal Golang Engineer | High-Growth Tech Startup | Dubai
We’re supporting a rapidly scaling tech startup in Dubai that’s building next-generation backend systems — and they’re hiring a Principal Golang Engineer to take a lead role in shaping their architecture, performance, and engineering culture.
This is a hands-on leadership opportunity for someone who loves building robust, scalable systems and wants to have a real say in product and technical direction.
What you’ll be doing:
- Leading design and development of backend systems using Go
- Driving technical decisions, architecture, and scalability strategies
- Mentoring and guiding other engineers
- Collaborating closely with product and DevOps teams to deliver high-performing solutions
- Championing best practices in code quality, testing, and deployment
What we’re looking for:
- 8+ years of backend engineering experience, with strong focus on Golang
- Proven experience building scalable, distributed systems or microservices
- Deep understanding of APIs, performance optimization, and cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP/Azure)
- Experience in startup or fast-paced product environments
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Bonus: experience in fintech, trading systems, or high-availability platforms
