Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Senior Laravel Developer located in the Greater Leicester Area. The Senior Laravel Developer will lead the development of high-quality, scalable web applications and solutions using the Laravel framework. Responsibilities include designing, coding, debugging, and maintaining applications, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring compliance with best practices in development. Additionally, the role involves mentoring junior developers and contributing to architectural decisions for software systems.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Laravel, PHP, and MVC frameworks
• Experience with databases, including MySQL and relational database design
• Strong understanding of front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern front-end libraries
• Experience in API development and integration
• Knowledge of version control systems, including Git
• Problem-solving and debugging skills
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Experience with DevOps tools, cloud platforms, and server management is a plus
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field is required

• Demonstrated experience in a digital agency role
• Proficiency with DevOps or similar for project and team management
• Excellent mentoring skills, with a strong focus on supporting and developing junior developers
• Strong leadership and communication skills, capable of fostering collaboration across the team
