About the Role

We are seeking a strategic and execution-focused product manager to join SICK Product Center Asia. You will be responsible for managing and growing a product portfolio, driving value creation, overseeing products through the lifecycle and shaping growth strategy to meet evolving market demand. This role is ideal for individuals with a strong technical foundation and a passion for translating customer needs into impactful products that deliver value


Key Responsibilities


Portfolio management

  • Shaping and executing product portfolio strategy in alignment with business objectives, market dynamics, and emerging industry trends to ensure long term growth and competitiveness
  • Continuously assess of product health and market fit by monitoring competitor moves, industry and technology trends and optimising offerings to ensure relevance, differentiation, and sustained growth


Value Creation

  • Lead development of value creation roadmaps, identifying strategic initiatives and uncovering opportunities for market expansion and innovation
  • Define product vision and drive product development by presenting compelling business cases for new investments, balancing customer needs, product capabilities, business impact, and engineering considerations to deliver value


Global market oversight

  • Oversee product performance across families globally, by tracking market adoption, competitor movements, and regional dynamics—proactively developing counteraction plans and executing targeted initiatives to strengthen market position and deliver measurable business impact
  • Drive end-to-end product lifecycle execution from launch and market adoption to ongoing enhancements and phase-out—through data-driven proposals for customization, cost optimization, and feature enhancement


Cross-functional collaboration

  • Collaborate closely with business unit managers, industry managers, R&D, sales, marketing, operations, and regional teams to ensure global alignment and effective execution of product strategies
  • Engage and influence key stakeholders across functions and geographies to ensure alignment, secure buy-in, and drive successful product outcomes


Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of product management experience, including management of product portfolio
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical field
  • Strong analytic, strategic thinking, effective communication and presentation skills
  • Experience in customer facing roles and cross-functional collaboration
  • Understanding of automation systems, including sensors, controller and software platforms relevant to industrial automation would be an advantage
