Scope of Responsibility

  • Technical design, administration, implementation, troubleshoot and management of Network and Security infrastructure
  • 24x7 Operations Support including scheduled on-call duties
  • Vendor management and project management for network/security related projects, provide support to other IT projects
  • Documentation including RFQ technical specifications/diagrams, operations manuals/guidelines
  • Backup role for security services management and data centre management, including audit support

Key Duties

  • Manage and maintain the network infrastructure and the data centres with system availability of at least 99.96%.
  • Ensure the network, data centre and security infrastructure is certified for the required SLA by tracking the maintenance renewal for all network, data centre and security equipment. Keep track of the IT asset (inclusive of licenses, etc) for the network, data centre and security infrastructure.
  • Manage external support vendors to provide the 24x7 support and track their performance to ensure compliance to the SLA, including physical onsite supervision of the vendors at the remote data centre sites.
  • Execute implementations, patches and upgrades, change release procedure, BCP and DRP exercise.
  • Develop and maintain documentation related to the installation, administration, and operations of network, data centre and security infrastructure.
  • Provide 24x7 operations support, including on-call support.
  • A subject matter expert in networking, data centre and security areas for our infrastructure and project initiatives. Keep up to date with technology advances and changes in the industry and conduct feasibility studies and technology evaluations.
  • Provide feedback for specific risks and mitigation efforts in terms of security assessments for new projects.
  • Independently manage network and security projects and/or complex infrastructure changes
  • Develop and maintain IT policies, processes and procedures for our network, data centre and security standards and practices.

  • Degree in IT or engineering or equivalent.
  • Possess technical network certification (CCNP, CCNA)
  • Experience

Necessity

  • At least 5 years’ experience in Network and Data Centre (Cisco Inter-networking Solutions, including Routers, Switches, ACI network) technical administration and support.
  • Excellent understanding of common network technologies, including TCP/IP, IPSec, VRRP, HSRP, SNMP, NAT, Multicast, Sub-netting, Ethernet, Access-lists.
  • In-Depth Working Knowledge and understanding of the following routing protocols: BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, ISIS, MPLS.
  • Proven working knowledge, implementation and administration experience of Network Security (Checkpoint, ASA)
  • Proven working knowledge of DNS, Proxy, F5 LTM Cisco ISE, RSA.
  • Monitor & measure the performance & availability of systems proactively; implement corrective actions identified to improve performance & service level availability and capacity planning.
  • Knowledge of WAN technologies, structured cabling, data centre physical architecture (power, grounding, cooling, cabling, fire protection, rack/physical layout, physical security, management)
  • Experience on the various Network Management platforms (e.g. MRTG, ELK etc)
  • At least 5 years of experience in the IT support involving 24x7 operations.
  • At least 2 years of experience in managing vendors in terms of purchases, writing and managing RFQ, project management, problem resolutions.
