Role Description

As a Mobile Software Engineer at Gridware, you’ll build mobile applications that bridge the physical and digital worlds of the power grid. Your work will help field and operations teams deploy, monitor, and maintain thousands of smart sensors across vast and often remote environments.


You’ll collaborate closely with our Field Operations and Fault Intelligence teams to design reliable, intuitive, and high-performance mobile tools that directly impact the safety and reliability of grid infrastructure.


Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain cross-platform mobile applications using Flutter.
  • Design and implement offline-capable workflows for field use in low-connectivity environments.
  • Integrate APIs, telemetry data, and device configurations to support deployment and diagnostics.
  • Build mapping and GIS features for asset tracking, visualization, and reporting.
  • Collaborate with backend, data, and operations teams to deliver robust and scalable mobile tools.


Required Skills
  • 3-5 years of professional software development experience, including mobile app development.
  • Strong proficiency in Flutter and Dart, with experience delivering production apps.
  • Solid understanding of RESTful and GraphQL APIs and data integration.
  • Experience with TypeScript, Python, or related backend technologies.
  • Familiarity with Linux environments and containerization (e.g., Docker).


Bonus Skills
  • Experience developing mobile tools for field operations or infrastructure applications.
  • Familiarity with React Native or other cross-platform frameworks.
  • Knowledge of GIS libraries (e.g., Mapbox, Leaflet) and cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred).
  • Exposure to observability and monitoring tools such as Grafana or Prometheus.
  • Passion for IoT, clean tech, and advancing grid resilience through software innovation.
