The Network Administrator I will provide comprehensive support for all aspects of the PGA TOUR's switched and routed network infrastructure, with primary emphasis on monitoring and maintaining optimal network performance across enterprise-level systems.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Associate’s degree in Network Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred
  • 1+ year of hands-on experience administering LANs and WANs in a multi-site or enterprise environment
  • Familiarity with IP networking and protocols such as OSPF, BGP, TCP/IP, UDP, DNS, and Layer 2 technologies
  • Basic experience with configuring and troubleshooting routers, switches, and other network hardware
  • Experience with network monitoring, alerting, and reporting.
  • Exposure to network security tools such as Network Firewalls or Cisco ISE is preferred.
  • Basic understanding of supporting network voice, data, and video services
  • Industry certifications such as Fortinet FCP, or Cisco CCNA/CCNP are advantageous.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to document technical processes clearly
  • Analytical mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving
  • Self-starter with proven ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and projects to meet deadlines under pressure in a team environment.
  • Available for on-call rotation outside of the production schedule and understand that flexibility in shift work might be required, including weekends, holidays, evenings, and nights.

Responsibilities/Duties

  • Monitor and maintain the stability, performance, and security of local and wide area networks
  • Maintain network tools such as IPAM, monitoring systems, and syslog.
  • Assist in identifying, diagnosing, and resolving network-related issues and service interruptions
  • Support the configuration, installation, and maintenance of network components including switches, firewalls, and wireless access points
  • Help manage network security systems including firewalls, VPNs, and access control mechanisms
  • Participate in firmware and software upgrades for network devices
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and licensing information for network assets
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of network documentation, including topology diagrams and security guidelines
  • Network reporting to show optimal network performance and capacity.
  • Analyze network traffic and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders regarding network status, changes, and incidents
  • Collaborate with external vendors and internal teams to ensure seamless network operations
  • Support special projects as needed
