Regional Purchase Manager – South

Job Purpose: Ensures all raw /packing material purchased adheres to the quality expectation and is made available at the BIL manufacturing locations per production plan. Is expected to share inputs for optimal price discovery for commodities & support any innovation activities related to purchase / product.
Key Responsibilities
Manage financial and physical resources
Compile materials budgets for all Purchase activities in the region (including manpower and other overheads). List all improvement opportunities to be undertaken in addition to regular activities and budget for the same. Monitor all cost heads periodically and make
plans to reduce unfavorable variance IN ORDER TO ensure that all Purchase priorities in the region are met within budgeted costs
- 2. Buy and Pay for Materials and Services
- 3. Delivery of Product and Services
Ensure Quality of incoming materials and resolve any quality related issues
Ensure the timely availability of Materials to plants
- 4. Manage improvement and change
- 5. Produce and deliver products and services
- Ensure that all necessary statutory licenses and requirements are met and maintained
- Ensure timely and cost effective Scrap Sale in regions
- 6. Other Responsibilities
- Estimate and Manage Risks : Participate in Audit opening and closing meetings. Address Staturory Audit issues and address financial implications arising out of Quality Audits. Lead action planning for Replenishment and review for compliance periodically. Ensure that identified risks are duly covered by insurance.
- Education: Post graduate degree in Management

- Strong interpersonal skills, ability to communicate effectively both in writing and orally, ability to establish and accomplish objectives within a corporate environment.
- Proven ability to leverage strong analytical, supervisory and management skills throughout organization.
- Demonstrates professional leadership skills, exhibits drive and determination, is hardworking, with positive attitude. A professional driven by personal and organizational success.
- Demonstrated initiative in working independently with minimal direction; ability to prioritize competing demands and make decisions consistent with corporate goals and objectives.
- 4-7 yrs of experience in managing similar portfolio & should Should have strong knowledge of Purchase function. Experience in raw / packaging materials is desirable
- Should have an exposure to supply chainsystems
- Should have the ability to work in cross functional team set up
