About the Organisation

A global workforce solutions company is building a new self-service cloud platform for global workforce management. This is your chance to join a newly formed product and engineering team focused on delivering a scalable, robust SaaS solution used by enterprise clients worldwide.

About the Role

This is a hands-on Product Owner / Product Backlog Owner role with a strong focus on technical delivery and execution. You’ll own and maintain the product backlog for a multi-module SaaS platform, working closely with engineering leads and architects to refine technical stories, define acceptance criteria, and guide features from concept through to deployment. Your success will be measured by clear priorities, smooth delivery flow, and continuous improvement in platform quality and performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Own and maintain the product backlog, ensuring clarity, prioritisation, and alignment with platform objectives
• Work closely with technical leads, architects and developers to refine requirements and define acceptance criteria
• Oversee end-to-end delivery of features and improvements, ensuring they meet agreed standards and outcomes
• Manage and prioritise the work of business analysts, ensuring consistent, high-quality documentation and analysis
• Direct the work of design and UX teams so UI/UX aligns with product goals and technical constraints
• Track progress, anticipate challenges, and proactively remove delivery blockers
• Ensure strong alignment between technical design and product vision
• Maintain awareness of dependencies and integration points across modules and services
• Support release planning, documentation and internal communication of updates
• Use data, metrics and feedback loops to support iterative improvement and performance optimisation

Skills & Experience

• 3+ years as a Product Owner, Technical Product Manager or similar in a software/SaaS environment
• Proven experience coordinating cross-functional teams (business analysis, design, development)
• Solid understanding of agile software delivery in multi-team contexts
• Strong technical literacy – comfortable discussing APIs, data models and architecture patterns with engineers
• Skilled in backlog management and prioritisation using tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps
• Excellent organisational and analytical skills with a strong focus on delivery outcomes
• Clear communicator able to translate complexity into actionable direction
• Experience with event-sourced architectures, HRM, HCM platforms
