We are now seeking an outstanding Head of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) to join our dynamic organisation and play a pivotal role in shaping our financial strategy and future growth.
About the Role
As Head of FP&A, you will lead a high-performing team responsible for delivering strategic commercial insights and forward-looking analysis to guide decision-making across the business. Partnering closely with our C-Suite leadership and private equity stakeholders, you will help steer both organic and inorganic growth initiatives while championing data-driven excellence.
This is an influential, fast-paced role at the heart of our international life sciences business, offering the opportunity to make a tangible impact on value creation.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Planning & Business Partnering
- Drive the annual planning, budgeting, and forecasting cycles.
- Partner with divisional leaders to align financial planning with business strategy.
- Support M&A evaluation and integration alongside Corporate Development.
Reporting & Insights
- Lead monthly financial close and reporting to executive leaders, investors, and lenders.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and KPIs to monitor performance.
- Provide customer and product profitability analysis to inform commercial decisions.
Systems & Process Improvement
- Promote automation and self-service analytics across the business.
- Partner with IS to enhance SAP reporting capability and data integrity.
Leadership
- Lead and develop two FP&A Managers, fostering a high-performance culture.
- Position Finance as a trusted business partner across the organisation.
Key Deliverables
- Timely and consistent reporting to C-Suite and lenders.
- Delivery of strategic projects and scenario analyses.
- High-quality board presentations and investor materials.
- Continuous improvement of forecasting accuracy and planning processes.
- Monthly financial reporting, half-year forecasts, annual budgets.
Candidate Requirements
We are looking for a commercially minded, strategic thinker who thrives in a dynamic environment and enjoys working cross-functionally to drive business success.
Essential Qualifications & Experience
- University degree in Business and/or Accounting.
- 10+ years’ experience in FP&A or group financial leadership roles.
- Proven track record leading FP&A in a high-growth, PE-backed environment.
- Experience influencing senior stakeholders and driving strategic outcomes.
- Advanced Excel and financial modelling capability.
- Strong SAP proficiency and familiarity with manual ERP data extraction.
- Fluent in English
- Happy to work from our site on a hybrid basis, 2-3 days a week
Desirable
- Professional accounting qualification (ACCA/CIMA/CFA).
- Knowledge of pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device industries.
- Power BI experience.
- Additional European language skills (e.g., German, Dutch etc)

Working Model
This role is offered on a hybrid basis (2-3 days on site), with some travel required to other Biosynth sites as needed.
