As we expand our payment orchestration capabilities, we seek a highly skilled and proactive Payment Solutions Analyst to join our team. This role plays a key part in ensuring smooth payment processing, improving acceptance rates, and driving revenue growth through optimized routing and data-driven insights.
Role Overview:
The Payment Solutions Analyst acts as the communication bridge between internal teams, clients, and external payment processors, ensuring efficient issue resolution, proactive optimization, and robust data analysis to improve our payment orchestration offerings. This role combines deep technical understanding with excellent communication and analytical skills, providing critical insights into payment processor performance and strengthening our relationships with key partners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Specialized Communication:
- Serve as the point of contact for clients with complex payment issues, offering clear guidance and fast solutions while managing expectations.
- Maintain ongoing communication with external payment processors to clarify technical issues, request enhancements, and relay accurate information to internal and client teams.
- Proactively address and escalate issues to minimize disruptions and maintain high customer satisfaction.
- Proactive Problem Solving:
- Regularly interact with payment connectors to request improvements in error messaging and identify causes for transaction declines.
- Troubleshoot issues by accessing payment connector portals, identifying potential alternative routing options, and implementing solutions to optimize traffic flow and revenue capture.
- Analyze transaction flows to identify problem areas and implement alternative routing strategies before issues impact the client’s revenue.
- Data Analysis & Reporting:
- Gather and analyze acceptance rates, transaction success metrics, and BIN performance data for different issuer countries and payment processors.
- Develop and maintain profiles for each card payment processor connected to our gateway, showcasing their strengths, weaknesses, and suitability for different merchant categories and regional needs.
- Provide data-driven insights and recommendations to optimize transaction flows, improve acceptance rates, and support the company’s strategic payment orchestration goals.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in payment processing, payment operations, or payment analysis roles.
- Strong understanding of payment gateways, card networks, and alternative payment methods.
- Excellent analytical skills, with experience in data gathering, report generation, and KPI analysis.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues independently.
- Strong communication skills for managing client expectations and coordinating with payment partners.
- Proficiency in payment-related software and systems, with a proactive approach to learning new tools.
