In The Role You Will
The NRL is a child-safe organisation committed to providing a safe place for all children to learn and have fun. We have strong recruitment procedures to make sure the safest and most suitable people work with us and require all applicants to undergo an extensive screening process prior to appointment, a process that will include, but is not limited to comprehensive reference checks, an identity check, “Working with Children” checks and/or national criminal history checks.

In The Role You Will
- Build high-performance, secure mobile applications using React Native and native iOS/Android development
- Design and implement mobile architectural patterns ensuring scalability and optimal performance across devices
- Create responsive, accessible mobile interfaces that work seamlessly across iOS and Android platforms
- Work with native iOS (Swift/Objective-C) and Android (Kotlin/Java) when React Native limitations require platform-specific solutions
- Manage app store deployment processes and ensure compliance with Apple and Google guidelines
- Implement mobile security best practices including secure storage, authentication, and data protection
- Optimise mobile performance, memory usage, and battery efficiency
- Implement mobile monitoring, crash reporting, and performance analytics
- 5+ years of mobile development experience with strong expertise in both iOS and Android platforms
- Advanced proficiency with React Native, React, and TypeScript for cross-platform development
- Strong experience with native iOS development (Swift/Objective-C) and Android development (Kotlin/Java)
- Deep understanding of mobile architectural patterns (MVVM, Clean Architecture, Redux patterns)
- Experience with mobile UI frameworks and component libraries (React Native Elements, NativeBase, or similar)
- Understanding of app store deployment processes and guidelines (Apple App Store, Google Play Store)
- Strong experience with RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and mobile data management strategies
- Proficiency with mobile testing frameworks (Jest, Detox, XCTest, Espresso)
- Knowledge of mobile security best practices and implementation
- Strong communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Passion for mobile development and staying current with evolving mobile technologies.
