Senior Android Engineer

Senior Android Engineer - 6 months contract - $950 per day - Sydney

tekFinder have taken on a new contract role for a Senior Android Engineer to join a product led business. We need an almost consultant level engineer, whose happy with some cleaning up and support tickets, as well as working on their flagship app.

They're a closely knit-team who gel-well with one another and are producing some brilliant work. Over 2m downloads of their current app which used to be in React Native.

We’re looking for a senior engineer, whose delivery-focused, and passionate about creating a great viewing experience.

You'd be working with Kotlin primarily, some react native, CI/CD (part of handling releases) and Docker.

What you’ll do:

• Own releases and contribute across the stack (Android + APIs)
• Help debug video playback and customer issues
• Make smart architectural and backend decisions that keep developer productivity high

Stack: Kotlin, CI/CD, Docker, XO Player (Google), React Native (being phased out), Castlabs (video tooling)

Bonus points if you've worked on streaming platforms

Rate is up to $950PD incl super. 3 days per week in-office in Sydney, so you need to be in Sydney to work this role.
