About the Role
Airswift is seeking an experienced HR professional to support a leading oil and gas client in delivering compliance, change management, and employee engagement initiatives. This 1-year contract role offers the opportunity to work across cross-functional teams and drive meaningful improvements in HR operations.
Key Responsibilities
1. Regulatory Compliance & Technical Expertise
- Interpret and apply employment legislation including the Fair Work Act, WA Long Service Leave Act, and relevant Enterprise Agreements
- Support audit and remediation projects
- Stay informed on regulatory changes such as payday superannuation
- Act as the HR subject matter expert for pay and leave-related policy and benefit reviews
2. Change & Project Management
- Lead process improvement and system enhancement initiatives across platforms such as Workday, ServiceNow, and Power Apps
- Collaborate with Legal, Finance, and IT to resolve systemic issues and implement sustainable solutions
3. Employee Communication & Engagement
- Respond to employee queries with clarity and accuracy
- Develop and deliver communications on policy changes, audit outcomes, and benefit updates
- Partner with HRBPs and leaders to support workforce education on pay and leave matters
Qualifications & Experience
- Proven experience managing projects and supporting change across cross-functional teams
- Strong communication skills with a focus on employee experience and stakeholder engagement
- Exposure to payroll operations in complex environments (resources sector experience highly desirable)
- Solid understanding of Australian employment and payroll legislation
- Proficiency in Workday, payroll systems, and data analysis tools (Excel)
