SUMMARY:

We're seeking a proactive and experienced IT Team Manager to lead agile development practices across one or more cross-functional teams within our Business Intelligence department. In this role, you'll drive team performance, foster a culture of collaboration and experimentation, and ensure timely delivery of high-quality products and features that align with strategic business goals. Within this role you will also serve as the primary conduit supporting the team with communication to internal stakeholders and external partners.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead one or more agile development teams, facilitating core ceremonies including Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Planning, Reviews, and Retrospectives
  • Translate business objectives into actionable sprint goals and team deliverables
  • Oversee day-to-day team performance, ensuring clear expectations, timely execution, and alignment with senior management priorities
  • Coach teams on agile values, principles, and frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe) to promote autonomy, cross-functionality, and high performance
  • Identify and remove obstacles to progress while fostering a psychologically safe environment for open communication and innovation
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to maintain a prioritized, well-defined backlog that supports business outcomes
  • Monitor team health and sprint metrics (e.g., velocity, burndown charts) to assess progress and identify areas for improvement
  • Lead hiring efforts, including interview coordination, assessments, and candidate selection
  • Manage onboarding of new team members, ensuring smooth integration into agile workflows, tools, and team culture
  • Facilitate team development through mentorship, skill-building, and cross-functional collaboration
  • Design and deliver training sessions and individual coaching on agile practices, technical tools, and organizational standards
  • Coordinate and communicate with supplier partners as the primary contact with external suppliers to ensure seamless technical integration and alignment with internal development timelines
  • Participate in code review process (python, java, Microsoft Power BI)
  • Generate, support and coach to SOP standards to help build consistency across the business intelligence department

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

  • 3+ years of experience as an IT Team Manager with direct hiring and coaching responsibilities
  • Hands-on experience delivering business-critical projects using programming languages such as Python, SQL, C/C++/Java
  • Strong command of agile principles and frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe)
  • Excellent facilitation, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Proven track record of professionalism and performance
  • Must be bi-lingual English & Spanish

DESIRED SKILLS

  • Proficiency with productivity and collaboration tools such as Excel, Google Sheets, Slack, and agile tracking platforms (e.g., Jira, Trello)
  • Reliable high-speed internet connection to support remote collaboration
  • Ability to work US-based shifts (EST, CST, MST, or PST)
