Android Developer - Remote (Anywhere in LATAM)

As an Android Developer, you will contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of high-quality native Android applications. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including hardware engineers and product designers, to ensure seamless integration, reliable performance, and intuitive user experiences. The role offers the opportunity to refine app functionality, leverage data-driven insights, and implement innovative features that enhance the overall product. Accountabilities:

• Develop, maintain, and enhance native Android applications using Kotlin and/or Java
• Implement robust data collection protocols to ensure precise and consistent data flow
• Create intuitive and user-friendly interfaces that translate data insights into actionable experiences
• Collaborate with hardware teams to optimize device-app communication and performance
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve connectivity or performance issues
• Integrate user feedback and analytics to continuously refine and expand app functionality
• Ensure code quality, adherence to Android design patterns, and best practices
  
  
  

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional experience in Android app development
• Strong knowledge of the Android SDK, lifecycle, and design patterns
• Proficiency in Kotlin and/or Java for Android development
• Experience working with RESTful APIs and offline storage mechanisms
• Familiarity with threading, performance optimization, and multi-device adaptation
• Experience with hardware-software integration projects
• English proficiency at B2 level or higher
• Nice to have: experience with data visualization, Android automated testing, and security best practices for sensitive data handling
