Are you someone who gets excited about turning complex, messy real-world data into something meaningful? Do you enjoy combining scientific thinking with a practical, hands-on approach? We’re looking for a curious and analytical professional to strengthen our methodology development and help us bring reliable airborne emission measurements to the field.

What you’ll be doing

You will play a key role in improving how emissions data is collected, processed and transformed into usable information. Your work will include both scientific and practical tasks ranging from empirical testing and calculations to field measurements and methodology design. Your location will be at our Helsinki office.

You will:

  • Review scientific literature and our own test measurement results
  • Plan, run and analyze validation measurements in the field
  • Perform real-world measurements
  • Develop and refine measurement methodologies and scientific models
  • Perform calculations and build cases based on empirical data to optimize results
  • Provide mathematical frameworks for our cloud developers, helping them implement improvements into the product
  • Formalize how raw data is transformed into reliable outcomes using mathematical and scientific reasoning
  • Once familiar with the full methodology, support special cases in reporting and methodological questions

What will help you succeed

We’re looking for someone with a scientific background and a practical mindset. You will enjoy this role if you:

  • Have a background in mathematics, natural sciences – especially atmospheric sciences – or similar
  • Understand atmospheric phenomena, emissions behavior and/or atmospheric transport (a plus)
  • Are comfortable working with Python in a collaborative environment
  • Have experience with atmospheric research or emissions measurements; experience in the close-range (<1 km from the source) scope is considered an advantage, but is not a requirement
  • Are comfortable working with empirical data, calculation models and imperfect real-world conditions
  • Enjoy going to field sites, performing measurements and using that experience to formulate better methodologies

  • What We Offer

    • A meaningful role in a fast-growing scale-up where your work directly shapes our measurement science.
    • The opportunity to apply theory in real-world environments, from planning to field testing to implementation.
    • A supportive international team.
    • An organizational culture based on trust, respect and openness – with a human touch, even in tough situations.
    • Flexible working hours and opportunities for remote work. Please note that this is not a fully remote role — you will work from our Helsinki office on a weekly basis.

Make a difference and join Aeromon! We are looking forward to receiving your CV and application letter by November 23, 2025, at the latest.
