What's Exciting About The Role

Verifone is looking to hire an exceptional Lead Software Development Engineer/Architect to take our payment services in the Nordics & Baltics region to the next level! You will lead the design and the hands-on implementation work related to new functionalities and optimization of our solutions using Agile methodologies.

The Lead Software Development Engineer/Architect will work in an exciting international environment and collaborate with other Verifone associates in multi-functional teams. You will be a part of global initiatives and have the opportunity to build a career in one of the leading companies in the payments industry worldwide!

Skills And Experience We Desire

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science or Engineering, or similar years of professional and relevant experience.
• 5+ years of experience with Java or other object-oriented languages, especially on backend solutions.
• Wide knowledge of different tech stacks and supporting technologies available around Java-based systems.
• Experience in running services on Linux.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proactive attitude with good communication and collaboration skills.
• Knowledge of Scrum and other Agile methodologies.
• Hands-on experience with SQL databases.
• Familiarity with basic network security concepts and knowledge of cryptography.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
  
  

Preferred Skills

• Payments industry and solutions knowledge.
• Experience leading a team, working as a systems architect, and/or project management skills.
• Front-end development experience (e.g. JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3) and knowledge of frameworks/technologies.
• Knowledge of Hardware Security Module (HSM) products and/or other encryption products is a plus!
