Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy scalable web applications and APIs.
- Work across the full stack — from database to UI — taking complete ownership of features.
- Collaborate closely with designers, product managers, and other engineers to deliver exceptional user experiences.
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices.
- Contribute to architectural discussions and help refine our engineering standards.
- Continuously learn, evaluate, and introduce new tools and technologies to enhance product performance.
- Minimum 1+ years of experience building consumer-facing web applications.
- Strong interest in full-stack development and building features end-to-end.
- Hands-on experience with JavaScript/TypeScript and front-end frameworks such as React.js.
- Understanding of backend technologies like Node.js and frameworks like Sails.js (or similar).
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs, databases (PostgreSQL, Redis), and message brokers (RabbitMQ) preferred.
- Exposure to Kubernetes, ElasticSearch, or cloud-based deployments is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a keen eye for design.
- Self-motivated, collaborative, and eager to work in a fast-paced startup environment.
- Passionate about education technology and improving student success.
- Frontend: React.js, Redux, Redux-Saga
- Backend: Node.js, Sails.js
- Infrastructure: Kubernetes, Postgres, ElasticSearch, Redis, RabbitMQ
- Plus: Flexibility to experiment with new tools and frameworks as we evolve our stack
