Freelance OT Project Lead (OT Network Migration Project)

Duration: 12-Month Contract

Start Date: December 2025 (Potentially earlier depending on availability)

We’re supporting a global life-sciences organisation on an Operational Technology (OT) migration initiative involving ~15 systems transitioning to the OT network.

This project requires an experienced OT Project Lead who can bridge Engineering, IT, Automation, and Cybersecurity team, ensuring delivery aligns with global standards for cybersecurity, GxP, and operational reliability.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the migration of ~15 systems to the OT network.
• Serve as the link between site operations, IT, automation, and cybersecurity teams.
• Manage deliverables, milestones, and risk across multiple stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with OT cybersecurity frameworks and GxP validation.
• Oversee documentation, communication, and change control activities.
• Track project progress, prepare reports, and update key stakeholders.
• Support vendor coordination and site readiness for migration activities.
• Ensure post-migration stability and maintainability of OT systems.

Required Skills & Experience

• 7+ years’ experience in OT project delivery or automation systems management.
• Background in pharma, biotech, or chemical manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of OT architectures (PLC/DCS/SCADA) and cybersecurity (ISA/IEC 62443, NIST 800-82).
• Experienced in coordinating cross-functional (IT/OT/Cybersecurity) teams.
• Familiar with GxP, CSV, and validation frameworks.
• Strong stakeholder communication and reporting skills.
• Fluent in English; German language skills are a plus.
