We are seeking a Product Regulatory Manager to lead global regulatory activities across all product lines. This is a pivotal role, ensuring products meet international safety, performance, and environmental standards, while driving successful approvals in multiple markets. The position also acts as the primary contact for certification bodies and regulatory authorities, supporting business growth and market expansion.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a global regulatory compliance strategy aligned with business objectives.
  • Monitor and interpret international regulations and standards (e.g., CPR, RED, LVD, EMC, RoHS, WEEE, UKCA, UL, CE, BSI, VdS).
  • Provide expert support to R&D, Quality, Manufacturing, Sales and Marketing throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Manage product approvals and certifications, including technical documentation, testing and declarations of conformity.
  • Act as the main liaison with Notified Bodies, regulatory authorities and certification agencies.
  • Support audits, inspections and regulatory assessments.
  • Maintain accurate regulatory documentation and integrate requirements into Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001).
  • Deliver training on compliance best practices and ensure labelling, manuals and marketing materials meet requirements.
  • Oversee post-market compliance activities, including incident reviews, product changes and recalls when necessary.


Skills & Experience

Essential:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, Law or related discipline.
  • 3+ years’ experience in a product regulatory role within manufacturing (electronics, consumer goods or similar).
  • Strong knowledge of key frameworks (CPR, RED, LVD, EMC, RoHS, WEEE, REACH, UKCA, UL, BSI, VdS).
  • Proven track record managing product approval processes and liaising with Notified Bodies.
  • Understanding of Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001).
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex regulations clearly.
  • Highly organised, detail-oriented, and strong in project management.
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and able to work both independently and collaboratively.


Desirable:

  • Master’s degree or higher in a relevant field.
  • Experience in the fire safety or security industry.
  • Knowledge of global market access strategies.
  • Legal qualification or regulatory affairs background.
  • Additional language skills relevant to export markets.
