HR Generalist – Hospitality/Gaming Sector

Location: Dublin 2 (with travel to 4 venues across Dublin – own vehicle essential)

About the Opportunity

An exciting and rewarding opportunity has arisen for an experienced HR Generalist to join a growing organisation in the hospitality and gaming sector.

This is a stand-alone, hands-on, and people-focused role, supporting the Chief Operating Officer, venue management teams, and a workforce of up to 80 employees across multiple Dublin locations. If you thrive on variety, autonomy, and the chance to shape HR practices in a fast-paced, evolving environment, this role offers the scope and independence to truly make it your own.

The Role

You’ll be responsible for a broad range of HR activities, including:

  • Recruitment, onboarding, and retention initiatives.
  • Overseeing staff training and continuous professional development.
  • Monitoring employee morale and supporting a positive company culture.
  • Providing advice and guidance on HR policies, procedures, and compliance.
  • Managing employee relations, grievances, and disciplinary processes.
  • Conducting exit interviews and recommending improvements where necessary.
  • Supporting payroll processes when required.
  • Maintaining up-to-date personnel records and HR documentation.
  • Keeping current with Irish employment legislation and compliance standards.
  • Assisting with internal communications on company updates, policies, and benefits.

Skills, Knowledge & Experience

Essential:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years’ HR generalist experience.
  • Strong knowledge of Irish employment law (including the Sick Leave Act 2022, Employment (Wage Protection) Act 2020, and Work Life Balance & Miscellaneous Provisions Act 2023).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive matters with professionalism.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word).
  • Full driving licence and access to a vehicle.
  • Fluent in English.

Desirable:

  • Experience in hospitality, leisure, or gaming industries.
  • Confident, proactive approach to problem-solving and people management.
