LayerX is a web3 builder hub connecting developers and organizations through hackathons, bounties, and an ecosystem that supports projects from idea to token launch.
We are looking for a Social Media and Community Manager to join the LayerX team to help us engage and expand our online community. You will be responsible for developing and implementing social media strategies, managing our social media channels, and fostering community engagement.
You will work in a team that will help you to learn new skills and step outside of your comfort zone to reach a new level in your career.
Note: This position is only for candidates based in Portugal, as we’re focusing on building our local team.

👩💻 Main Responsibilities
- Work with the marketing team to align social media strategies with overall marketing goals and campaigns, including product launches, hackathons, and other events.
- Develop and implement social media strategies to increase engagement, brand awareness, and community growth across platforms such as Twitter, LinkedIn, Discord, Telegram and others relevant to the tech and innovation sectors.
- Manage and grow LayerX’s online community platforms, such as Discord and Telegram channels, ensuring they are vibrant, well-moderated spaces for discussion and collaboration.
- Create and curate engaging content for various social media platforms, including posts, stories, videos, and live sessions.
- Monitor, moderate, and respond to comments and messages to foster a positive community environment.
- Analyze and report on social media performance, using data to assess the effectiveness of strategies and campaigns.
- Engage with influencers, partners, and other communities to build relationships and collaborate on campaigns to foster community growth.
📃 Requirements
- Basic knowledge of the web3 ecosystem, including crypto, wallets, and blockchain.
- Fluency in English, both written and verbal.
- Understanding of social media platforms and analytics.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment, showing flexibility and the capacity to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
- Ability to multi-task
- Critical-thinker and problem-solver
👐 Nice to Have
- Experience in managing online web3 communities.
- Experience with managing Discord channels and understanding its functionalities, including setting up servers, channels, roles, permissions.
- Familiarity with social media management and engagement tools such as Typefully and Galxe, among others.
- Content creation skills, with experience in crafting engaging and informative posts in different formats.
