Data Analyst

Job Description:

Data Analysts will use a data-driven methodology to ensure business success, contributing to the success of different business units. They are fast learners when it comes to understanding business challenges and are capable of using their analytical skills to articulate business insight in a clear and consistent manner.

This candidate's main goal is to transform data, reports, and analysis into business value, improving the company’s efficiency, and helping stakeholders make informed decisions. A Data Analyst is expected to cooperate with multiple teams on the strategy definition and pinpoint innovative ideas to create solutions with high impact.

Job Responsibilities and Expectations:

• Work with stakeholders to understand the real business needs;
• Build standardized analytics dashboards to centralize all key metrics;
• Design and build tools that empower the team to make strategic decisions;
• Create and maintain team reports based on a variety of systems and data;
• Bring awareness across the organization for the data and analytic needs, data-related issues and identify opportunities for improvement;
• Leverage technology to scale the team’s efforts, increasing efficiency and output using data visualization tools such as Power BI and/or Shiny;
• Communicate data-driven insights that enable the team’s productivity and find opportunities for process improvements;
• Analyze and interpret results using standard statistical tools and techniques;
• Process, cleanse, and verify the integrity of analysis’ data;
• Create and present ad-hoc analyses in a clear manner.
  
  

Key Requirements:

• MSc in Mathematics, Computer Science Informatics (or a related field) or equivalent experience;
• 5+ years experience as a Data Analyst;
• Experience working with at least one visual BI analytical tool ( Power BI preferential);
• Proficiency in using query languages such as SQL;
• Knowledge of R or Python programming language for data analysis. Experience with Shiny is a plus;
• Critical thinking: explore data, identify trends and come to new conclusions based on findings;
• Demonstrated ability to conduct analysis on data trends and reporting dashboards;
• Excellent communication skills: empathy and active listening; good presentation skills with clear speaking, easily communicating complex ideas;
• Ability to communicate complex data into clear, actionable recommendations;
• Able to collaborate with a cross-functional team.
