Senior Software Engineer

About the role

As part of a multi-functional engineering team, you’ll work on designing and optimizing customer-facing web services used by thousands daily. You’ll take responsibility for scalability, security, and reliability — while ensuring high performance and seamless user experiences.

This is a hands-on consulting role where you’ll be directly involved in development, performance tuning, CI/CD automation, and system optimization.

What you’ll do

• Develop, maintain, and enhance customer-facing web services
• Manage authentication, authorization, scaling, and service availability
• Optimize Java performance and ensure reliability
• Design and maintain REST-based services (Netty or similar frameworks)
• Utilize data storage and caching solutions such as Cassandra, Redis, and Memcached
• Integrate CI/CD tools and implement automated testing
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional results

What we’re looking for

• 5+ years of experience in software development
• Strong expertise in Java (Core Java, multithreading, non-blocking I/O)
• Experience with Golang
• Proven background in building customer-facing web services
• Familiarity with data storage and caching technologies (Cassandra, Redis, Memcached)
• Skilled in Java performance tuning and API design
• Solid understanding of CI/CD tools and automation testing
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
• Ability to thrive in a collaborative, high-paced environment

Nice to have

• Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery
• Knowledge of cryptography standards and protocols (PKCS, KMIP, X.509, AES)
• Familiarity with machine learning frameworks
• Experience with GitHub, Maven, Docker, Spinnaker, Kubernetes
• Previous team leadership experience

This role is 100% onsite in Malmö.
