About The Role

We are looking for a skilled GitLab / DevOps Engineer to join our Centralized DevOps Tools Team. You will design, build, and maintain GitLab components and CI/CD pipelines that empower product teams across the organization. This is a hands-on engineering role focused on platform reliability, scalability, and an excellent developer experience.

We are looking for a skilled GitLab / DevOps Engineer to join our Centralized DevOps Tools Team. You will design, build, and maintain GitLab components and CI/CD pipelines that empower product teams across the organization. This is a hands-on engineering role focused on platform reliability, scalability, and an excellent developer experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage GitLab components (groups, projects, runners, pipelines, templates).
- Build and maintain reusable CI/CD templates and best practices for large-scale delivery.
- Integrate DevOps tooling such as artifact repositories, secrets management, scanning, and observability solutions.
- Manage GitLab Runners (Kubernetes, autoscaling, Docker, shell) ensuring security and reliability.
- Contribute to test automation and integrate automated quality gates (unit, integration, e2e, performance, security).
- Explore AI-driven use cases in CI/CD (test selection, pipeline optimization, quality insights).
- Collaborate with security, platform, and product teams to standardize workflows and enforce policies.
- Monitor and optimize pipeline performance, cost, and reliability; define SLAs/SLOs and KPIs.
- Create documentation, runbooks, and training materials; provide Tier 2/3 GitLab support.
- Drive automation, self-service capabilities, and continuous improvement across the DevOps ecosystem.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in DevOps or GitLab Engineering
- 7+ years overall IT experience preferred
- Proficiency in Java and Python (4–6 years each)
- Solid understanding of Kubernetes, Docker, and modern CI/CD tooling
- Experience in the banking sector is a plus
- Additional languages (German, Polish, Spanish) are a plus
