Job Description
We are looking for a dynamic and forward-thinking Senior Product Owner - Banking as a Service (BaaS) to lead the vision, strategy, and execution of our digital channels. Reporting to the Customer Experience and Analytics Director, this role involves managing a team of channel specialists, product owners, QA experts, and cross-functional squads, ensuring our platforms deliver seamless and innovative customer experiences.
The ideal candidate will be an experienced digital product leader with a strong background in banking or fintech, preferably within BaaS platforms, combining strategic foresight with operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Management
- Collaborate with digital channel specialists, product owners, QA experts, and digital squads focusing on BaaS initiatives.
- Define team and squad objectives, set priorities, and ensure delivery excellence.
- Drive cross-functional squad collaboration to deliver value in agile delivery cycles.
- Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Digital Channel Strategy & Development
- Own the end-to-end strategy, backlog, and roadmap of BaaS and digital banking products.
- Conduct benchmarking against best practices and competitors to keep channels ahead of industry standards.
- Oversee backlog creation and prioritization in coordination with Product Owners.
- Manage demand shaping / requirement maturation processes, ensuring business needs are clarified, refined, and translated into actionable initiatives.
- Ensure seamless integration of new products and services into channels.
Vendor & Partner Management
- Manage relationships with external partners and solution providers, ensuring alignment with channel strategy.
- Negotiate contracts, SLAs, and performance KPIs with technology and service partners.
- Oversee vendor delivery quality and integration with internal squads.
User Experience & Quality Assurance
- Supervise UAT and quality assurance processes, ensuring top-class usability, accessibility, and security of BaaS products.
- Continuously improve customer journeys based on feedback, analytics, and best practices.
- Guarantee uninterrupted, reliable service quality across all platforms.
Performance Monitoring & Reporting
- Define and monitor KPIs for channel performance and adoption.
- Oversee analytics and reporting processes, converting data into actionable insights.
- Provide regular updates, dashboards, and presentations to senior management.
Innovation & Strategic Impact
- Stay informed about digital banking and fintech innovations, emerging technologies, and industry best practices.
- Translate innovation trends into practical strategies and pilot projects.
- Position our digital channels as leaders in customer-centric banking.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree from a top-tier university in Business, Marketing, Information Technology, Engineering, or related fields.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in digital channel or product management.
- Currently working in the banking or fintech sector.
- Proven expertise in backlog management, demand shaping, vendor management, squad leadership, and benchmarking.
- Strong knowledge of UX/UI design, agile product management, and analytics.
- Proficiency in Figma, Sketch, MS Clarity, Jira, Confluence, Adjust, Qlik, Google Analytics, Power BI, and MS Office at an advanced level.
- Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with a focus on delivery and results.
- High motivation, adaptability, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced hybrid working environment.
- Outstanding reporting, analysis, and presentation skills.
