Job Description

The Oracle Apex Senior Solutions Developer will be responsible for providing technical guidance, mentoring junior developers, and ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality solutions. developing and implementing Oracle Application Express (APEX) solutions for clients and within an organization.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, analyze business processes, and design APEX applications that address the identified needs.
  • Lead the development of APEX applications, utilizing advanced features and best practices. Write efficient and maintainable code using Oracle APEX, SQL, PL/SQL, and other relevant technologies.
  • Architect and implement robust database structures and optimize database performance. Integrate APEX applications with Oracle databases, ensuring data integrity and efficient data access.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers. Review and guide their work, ensuring adherence to best practices, coding standards, and project requirements.
  • Investigate and resolve complex technical issues in APEX applications. Perform advanced debugging, performance tuning, and optimization to ensure smooth application performance.
  • Lead the testing efforts, including unit testing, integration testing, and performance testing of APEX applications. Conduct code reviews and ensure compliance with coding standards.
  • Prepare comprehensive technical documentation, including architectural designs, technical specifications, and best practice guidelines. Share knowledge and promote best practices among the development team.
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, project managers, and other developers, to ensure project success. Communicate effectively with stakeholders to provide updates, gather feedback, and address concerns.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, business, or a related field.
  • ITIL Service Delivery qualifications preferred.
  • Oracle certifications related to APEX development.
  • Minimum of 9 - 12 years of experience
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and project management principles.
  • Experienced in Application Lifecycle Management techniques, practices, and principles.
  • Direct, hands-on experience with automated software and system management tools.
  • Good knowledge of system and software quality assurance best practices and methodologies.
  • Technical expertise in any one of the following technologies - .NET, JAVA, AI/ML, Oracle Apex, Low-Code Platforms, Full Stack, Front End, Back End, Angular, React, Node JS, IOS, Android, SQL, PL/SQL, TSQL, Power Apps, SharePoint, Python
  • Some project management skills and/or exposure to project-based work structures, project lifecycle models, etc.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational, leadership and negotiation skills.
  • Leadership abilities with experience in mentoring and guiding junior developers.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work within deadlines.
