Role Description

We're looking for an exceptional Senior Full Stack Engineer to join our rapidly growing team as we strive to be the #1 gamification platform for sports teams and brands. As a Senior Full Stack Engineer, you will work across our entire technology stack to build and scale out our world class platform that millions of fans engage with. You will be instrumental in architectural decisions, mentoring junior developers, and driving technical excellence throughout our organization. You will be responsible for ensuring that our platform remains at the forefront of innovation, delivering unparalleled value to our partners. Key Responsibilities

• Full Stack Development: Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications using modern frameworks and technologies that power real-time fan engagement features
• Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver seamless fan experiences that meet business objectives
• System Architecture: Lead technical architecture discussions with the team to design and implement robust, scalable, and secure systems that impact our platform’s future
• Code Review & Quality Assurance: Conduct regular code reviews, implement testing frameworks, and uphold best practices to ensure the delivery of high-quality, reliable software
• Team Mentorship: Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members, ensuring code quality and best practices across the team
• Availability & Support: Ensure high availability during peak sporting events with increased application traffic and load, and provide real-time support for production issues when needed 
• Performance Optimization: Identify and address performance bottlenecks across the stack, implementing optimizations to enhance application speed and efficiency

Requirements

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
• Proven track record (6+ years) building scalable, production-grade web applications using a modern JavaScript framework (preferably React with Next.js)
• Extensive experience building scalable backends and RESTful APIs utilizing Node.js or PHP
• Strong understanding of relational databases (MySQL/MariaDB) with significant experience
• Familiarity with various AWS services (EC2, Elastic Beanstalk, RDS, S3, Lambda)
• Ability to initiate and drive projects with open-ended guidance and meet tight deadlines
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Strategic mindset with the ability to translate business goals into technology solutions
