Job Summary:
The Jr. UI/UX Designer assists the UI/UX Design Lead on the creation of innovative workflows and screen patterns for Tessitura's business- and public-facing products. They will collaborate with Product Managers to assess the software's ongoing functional needs and translate those needs into usable, accessible and consistent user interfaces.
UI/UX Designers work closely with software developers to ensure that planned designs are feasible, accessible, and resource efficient. They evaluate delivered software to ensure that they conform to established design conventions.
Jr. UI/UX Designers will assist in collating and evaluating comments from message boards and other avenues of communication to determine whether and which design responses are necessary. This also includes User Experience research.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Works with product, engineering and quality assurance teams to translate requirements and stakeholder needs into value-driven stories.
- Works with the Design Lead to ensure the maintenance and consistency of a central pattern and component library.
- Assists in acquiring, interpreting and collating User Experience data from both active and passive sources.
- Executes the creation of graphical elements for direct use in the software as needed.
- Strong visual communication skills with the ability to work within established product guidelines and extend/amend them if necessary.
- Proficiency in communicating design-based reasoning and decision making.
- Proficiency in the critical evaluation of delivered work for quality assurance purposes.
- Mastery of industry standard UI design software including Figma and Adobe CC.
- Familiarity with task management software including Jira.
- Exceptional organizational skills.
- To support the Innovation Group on key short and long-term strategic planning issues and make recommendations on important decisions.
- To integrate as a key member of the Product team, advancing the business of arts and culture.
- To role model, embed and reinforce the connection between the Company's values, people, and organizational performance, taking personal accountability for individual, departmental and organizational performance.
