Job Description
POSITION OVERVIEW:
Utilizes current graphic design technology and computer software packages to prepare design, art, and copy layouts for presentations, reports, technical papers, and other visual communications media. The incumbent at this level is proficient in the utilization of standard graphic design practices and company procedures.
Specific Responsibilities
Works directly with engineers to produce infographics, high-quality visuals, and other materials submitted for inclusion in assigned documents. May recommend improvements for accuracy of expression, clarity, and consistency with Company style.
Designs and produces reproduction-ready visual graphics, including presentation slides, charts, plots, diagrams, tables, sketches, isometrics, viewgraphs, posters, signs, and certificates.
Modifies existing artwork as required.
Serves as part of a functional team to complete assignments according to schedule.
Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
Education/Experience
Associates degree in Graphic Design or certificate of completion from an accredited design/graphics course (or equivalent) is preferred, and typically 5+ years of related work experience.
Skills/Competencies
Requirements include proficiency in graphic design software and technologies such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign, as well as strong skills in PowerPoint for creating presentations. A solid understanding of standard graphic production techniques and printing/reproduction processes is essential. In addition, candidates must demonstrate strong interpersonal and technical skills, with the ability to adhere to established formats, standards, and quality requirements.
