Forte Group is looking for an experienced Backend Software Engineer to design and build enterprise-grade server-side infrastructure across multiple specialized analytics applications. You'll be developing ASP.NET applications for web-based solutions, creating Windows Services for automated processing, and managing SQL Server databases with SSIS integration across various enterprise systems.

Technology Environment:

Key Responsibilities:

API Development & Architecture

• Design ASP.NET APIs for React frontend integration with Umbraco CMS and Power BI connectivity
• Build ASP.NET applications with MDX query processing and Microsoft Enterprise Library integration
• Develop Windows Services for SSIS data processing with LDAP authentication systems
• Create .NET Framework applications with Active Directory integration and SQL Server backends
• Implement robust data processing pipelines using SQL Server Integration Services across all applications
• Design enterprise-grade authentication systems using LDAP and Active Directory

Data Processing & Analytics

• Build data services supporting Power BI integration and Umbraco CMS content delivery
• Develop MDX query processing systems with Microsoft Enterprise Library for logging and error handling
• Create SSIS packages for automated data transformation and Windows Services for background processing
• Implement SQL Server data management with Active Directory security integration
• Design and optimize SQL Server database schemas for analytical and transactional workloads
• Develop enterprise-grade error handling and logging using Microsoft Enterprise Library

Enterprise Infrastructure & Services

• Deploy and manage ASP.NET applications for web-based analytics solutions on Windows Server environments
• Implement Windows Services for automated background processing across multiple enterprise systems
• Design enterprise authentication systems with LDAP and Active Directory integration
• Manage SQL Server databases with proper backup, recovery, and performance optimization
• Implement Microsoft Enterprise Library components for logging, exception handling, and application blocks
• Ensure enterprise-grade security and compliance across all application environments

Integration & Enterprise Services

• Integrate with external data providers using ASP.NET web services and APIs
• Build secure authentication systems with Active Directory and LDAP integration
• Implement enterprise-grade logging and monitoring using Microsoft Enterprise Library
• Design data synchronization systems between multiple enterprise applications
• Create data export and reporting services for various business intelligence formats

Required Qualifications:

Technical Skills

• 5+ years of backend development experience with ASP.NET framework and C#
• Strong proficiency in ASP.NET for web applications and API development (Apollo and Dataminer Projects)
• 3+ years of experience building external APIs and real-time integrations into 3rd party external APIs (mandatory)
• Windows Services development for background processing and automated workflows
• SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) experience for ETL processes and data transformation
• Microsoft SQL Server expertise, including database design, optimization, and administration
• Microsoft Enterprise Library experience for logging, exception handling, and application blocks
• MDX queries knowledge for multidimensional data analysis and reporting
• LDAP and Active Directory integration for enterprise authentication and security
• Experience with version control systems (Apache Subversion, Git)

Data & Analytics Experience

• 3+ years working with data analytics applications and enterprise-scale data processing
• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server, SSIS packages, and analytical data modeling
• Knowledge of data pipeline design using SQL Server Integration Services
• Preferred: Experience in data-driven industries such as business intelligence, finance, or enterprise analytics
• Understanding of MDX queries, multidimensional analysis, and Azure Analysis Services
• Experience with Power BI backend integration and business intelligence solutions

DevOps & Infrastructure

• 3+ years of experience with Microsoft enterprise technologies and SQL Server environments (mandatory)
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes
• Knowledge of Windows Server environments and enterprise application deployment
• Understanding of monitoring, logging, and observability using Microsoft Enterprise Library
• Experience with Active Directory, LDAP, and enterprise security implementations
• Knowledge of security best practices in enterprise environments
• Experience working in Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) environments

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Umbraco CMS development and content management integration
• Knowledge of Power BI backend integration and business intelligence solutions
• Experience with .NET Framework development for desktop application backends
• Familiarity with enterprise logging and monitoring using Microsoft Enterprise Library
• Knowledge of multidimensional data analysis and MDX query optimization
