Project Manager

Our state government client is looking forward to hire Senior Project manager to be ina dedicated administrative focused role.This role delivers and manages multiple complex project and also partners with stakeholder groups across the company and leads a team to deliver organizational designs. The role focuses on project delivery, in a matrix management environment to deliver sustainable business outcomes.

Key accountabilities

• Drive delivery across the enabling stakeholder groups (teams in Finance, Technology & Commercial, People & Culture, Legal & Governance) to support the stand up of organizational designs.
• Provide project management to problem solve, overcome project challenges and drive successful outcomes and lead enablement teams to optimize performance .
• Delivery project updates on performance, risks, and issues, and report key milestones and interdependencies to leadership for decision-making .
• Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships to ensure alignment and support across delivery .
• Attend and contribute to key governance meetings and ensure projects align with governance frameworks
• Understand the incoming pipeline of activity and collaborate with the delivery teams to ensure appropriate resource allocation to meet enablement needs
• Work with stakeholders to identify issues and track their resolution, ensuring accountability for enabling activities is upheld while identifying and addressing potential risks to drive successful business outcomes.
• Dedicated administrative focused Project Manager,Previous experience in a reform program.
• Experience matrix managing a project team drawn from subject matter experts and including communication and change management resources
• Demonstrated ability to build trust, influence and communicate effectively at an operational level, applying a delivery orientated mindset and creatively problem solving.
• Deliver multiple projects within work programs, including managing the development of operational and project scopes, business cases, project submissions, communications and reporting, project scheduling, and resourcing, so projects are safely delivered on time, on budget, and specified scope and quality outcomes.
• Manage stakeholder relationships through effective communication, negotiation and issues management to ensure stakeholders are engaged throughout the program and program deliverables are met.
• Develop detailed project budget and forecast cash flows/milestones from the approved budget, recommend approval of costs and variations, monitor and control project costs and report on expenditure.
• Coordinate and communicate engineering alternatives/options to non-technical audiences to ensure the Agency can provide safe and commercially viable solutions to engineering problems.
• Facilitate development and approval of project-specific quality, safety and environmental requirements, ensure compliance with all relevant safety and quality standards, facilitate environmental planning/approval and manage the implementation to ensure adherence to conditions of approval
• Determine project risks, develop a project risk management plan (RMP), facilitate the risk review process and manage, monitor and mitigate project risks through the RMP.

Their role will be quite specific in scheduling, programming, breaking down initiatives into activities, reporting, tracking actions, management of risk and decisions logs. It is probably more similar to how an IT project manager OR senior Project Coordinator would operate .

Contract duration- 6+months

Daily rate-$1000+super
