At Speech Processing Solutions, we develop speech recognition and management tools that help professionals in law, healthcare, and beyond work smarter and more efficiently. In this role, you’ll join the team behind our flagship product, Philips SpeechLive, and, working closely with our Frontend Lead, help shape its next chapter as we roll out new AI-powered features and ensure intuitive, seamless user experiences.

What You’ll Do

  • Design develop and deliver robust, efficient, and scalable frontend applications using Vue.js 3, TypeScript/JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
  • Conduct intensive pull request reviews with a strong understanding of product structure and development rules.
  • Communicate daily with external engineers and stakeholders to coordinate work and resolve any impediments.
  • Work closely with product managers, engineers and cross-functional teams to translate requirements into high-quality solutions in an agile development environment.
  • Manage and oversee the release process, including preparing branches, configuring environments, and taking full ownership of release related activities.

What You Bring

  • A strong technical foundation with 4+ years of hands-on experience as a frontend engineer, with a professional background in Vue.js 3, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3. 
  • Knowledge of component-based architecture, state management (Pinia), REST APIs and GraphQL integration, and test automation (unit-, integration-, and end-to-end tests).
  • Understanding of socket communication channels, including streaming data, real-time notifications, and chat functionality.
  • Strong understanding of cross-platform development and microfrontend architecture.
  • Solid system-level knowledge including familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, frontend build tools (Vite), and version control (Git). 
  • Experience translating design mockups and UX concepts into responsive, and accessible interfaces, ensuring high performance across browsers and devices.
  • Experience with AI-assisted coding/prompt engineering using modern tools such as like GitHub Copilot to accelerate development, reduce repetitive work, and focus on innovation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (additional languages a plus).
  • Analytical thinking to break down complex issues and develop effective solutions.
  • Ability to take ownership of end-to-end solution development while keeping the bigger picture of project objectives in mind.
  • Creative problem-solving and debugging, with a structured approach to minimize technical debt.
  • Active listening and constructive participation in team discussions and code reviews. Experience in scrum preferred.
  • Strong time management and task estimation to consistently meet deadlines.
  • Nice to have:
    • Experience implementing audio chunking, real-time streaming, and low-latency audio transfer using Web Audio API, WebRTC, or WebSocket for speech understanding.
    • Experience with hardware-to-software communication, HID commands, and firmware–software integration.
