Senior Frontend Developer

Development of front-end website architecture.

Design of user interactions on web pages.

Cross-platform optimisation.

Understanding and implementation of security and data protection.

Design responsive applications.

Design and develop APIs.

Participating in the design and creation of scalable software.

Maintenance of code integrity and organisation.

Writing clean, functional code.

Compile and analyse data, processes, and codes to troubleshoot problems and identify areas for improvement.

Testing and fixing bugs or other coding issues.

Meet both technical and consumer needs.

Write technical documentation.

LEVEL OF EDUCATION

Bachelor or Master Degree

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

• Excellent knowledge of Object Oriented Programming languages (Java, Angular);

• Good knowledge of relational database systems (Oracle, PostrgesSQL);

• Good knowledge of development and integration tools (GIT, Gitlab, Eclipse, Bamboo, Jira, SonarQube);

• Knowledge of the design and development of web and multi-tier applications (using REST, SOAP,…)

• Experience of software development methodologies (e.g. RUP, AGILE);

• Ability to participate in multi-lingual (EN and FR) meetings, good communication skills;

• Capability of integration in an international/multi-cultural environment, rapid self-starting capability and experience in working in team.

In addition to the requirements above, a good knowledge of EC Building Blocks3 would be an asset.

The following specific expertise is mandatory for the performance of tasks:

• Excellent knowledge and experience (2 years or more) of Angular and Java;

• Good knowledge and experience (1 year or more) of Oracle and PostgresSQL;

• Good knowledge of Bamboo and GITLAB;

• Good knowledge of Weblogic and Tomcat;

• Experience with euLogin (European Commission's authentication service and single sign-on system);

• Experience with eUI (component library developed by the European Commission to build consistent, accessible, and reusable user interfaces across its web applications).
