We are seeking a highly skilled and ambitious Full Stack Developer to join our team, with a strong preference for a skilled UI developer with decent back-end capability. The ideal candidate will be proficient in the Symfony stack with PHP, possess strong React skills, and be comfortable with common web UI technologies (HTML/JavaScript/CSS). Being exceptional with UI development is a huge plus for this role.
You will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing high-quality software solutions, contributing to the full software development lifecycle, and working closely with cross-functional teams in an Agile (SCRUM) environment. This role also requires comfort in providing technical support to customer service teams on a shared rota.

You will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing high-quality software solutions, contributing to the full software development lifecycle, and working closely with cross-functional teams in an Agile (SCRUM) environment. This role also requires comfort in providing technical support to customer service teams on a shared rota.
Key Responsibilities
- Designing, developing, and maintaining robust, scalable, and high-performing applications using PHP (Symphony framework) for the backend.
- Building efficient, reusable, and testable front-end components using React, HTML, JavaScript, and CSS, with a strong focus on user interface excellence.
- Collaborating with product managers, designers, and QA engineers to deliver high-quality solutions.
- Developing and consuming RESTful APIs, ensuring seamless integration between front-end and back-end systems.
- Participation in code reviews and contribute to a collaborative and inclusive team environment.
- Contributing to architectural decisions and technical discussions.
- Implementing best practices for CI/CD pipelines and contribute to DevOps processes.
- Monitoring application performance, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues across the full stack and in production.
- Providing technical support to customer service teams on a shared rota.
- Staying up to date with emerging technologies and suggest improvements to enhance product performance and maintainability.
- Creating and maintaining comprehensive technical documentation for the codebase, architecture, and processes.
- Contributing to the product vision and strategy, helping to shape the direction of the product based on technical insights.
About You
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience);
- 3-5 years of experience in full stack software development;
- Crucial proficiency in PHP with demonstrable experience in the Symphony framework and with Doctrine ORM;
- Proven strong experience and capability with front-end development using React, HTML, JavaScript, and CSS;
- Comfortable with using UI frameworks and componentising to meet product needs and development efficiency;
- Strong understanding of version control tools (e.g., Git);
- Solid understanding and experience in developing APIs;
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies;
- Experience with databases such as SQL Server, MySQL, or PostgreSQL;
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment;
- Proven ability to manage time and prioritise tasks effectively;
- Comfortable with providing support to customer service teams on a technical colleague shared-rota.
- You are available 38 hours per week.
- Knowledge of MongoDBExperience with Docker and containerisation;
- Familiarity with micro-services architecture;
- Knowledge of front-end state management libraries (e.g., Redux);
- Experience in unit testing frameworks for both front-end and back-end development;
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills;
- Strong communication skills.
