General conditions:
- Key skills: porting Android to NXP i.MX95
- Start date: ASAP
- Location: 2-3 days per week onsite in Belgium (Leuven or Hasselt), the rest work from home. If you live in another country and can move to Belgium for the duration of the project this will work too!
- Duration: 3-6 months with very likely extension
- Contract: B2B via Mind (you have to be register as self-employed in the country of your residence). In case of successful collaboration permanent contact could be discussed
You will lead the process of in bringing Android OS to life on to next-generation hardware, ensuring a stable, optimized, and production-ready system. Your main tasks will include:
- Porting and running Android 16 on the NXP i.MX95 platform.
- Adjusting and configuring the OS to meet hardware and product requirements.
- Driver development and integration
- Performing system-level debugging, testing, and performance optimization.
- Collaborating with hardware and software teams to ensure smooth integration.
- Strong experience with Android OS internals, BSPs, and embedded platforms
- Board bring up
- Driver development and kernel-level work.
- Familiarity with NXP i.MX family of processors (experience with i.MX95 is a big plus).
- Strong skills in debugging low-level issues and performance bottlenecks.
- Ability to work independently and solve complex technical challenges.
