Principal DevOps Engineer
We are seeking a Principal DevOps Engineer to lead automation strategy, define standards, and deliver large-scale improvements across on-prem and hybrid environments. You’ll be a technical authority driving automation maturity, scalability, and reliability across the organisation.
What you’ll do:
- Architect and optimise enterprise CI/CD and IaC frameworks
- Design reusable automation blueprints using Terraform, Ansible, and Packer
- Own strategy for automation, monitoring, and observability across environments
- Partner with development leads to align delivery pipelines with engineering standards
- Influence the direction of modernisation and private cloud strategy
What you bring:
- 8+ years in DevOps, Platform, or Infrastructure Engineering
- Proven expertise in Terraform, Ansible, CI/CD, and automation frameworks
- Strong programming background (Python, Ruby, Java, or .NET)
- Deep understanding of VMware, storage, and colocation infrastructure
- Experience designing and implementing private cloud solutions
- Ability to lead technically and mentor engineers without direct reports
Fully remote within Ireland
Must hold full working rights (EU citizen or Stamp 1G/4).
