Senior Business Intelligence Analyst

Korn Ferry, on behalf of a multinational client , is looking for a Senior Business Intelligence Analyst

Purpose:

Works with various internal stakeholders to:

• Support strategic planning activities, including the annual Strategic Plan
• Provide insights into the relevant market, market trends, customers, competitors and new competing technologies by Region

A key deliverable is to provide meaningful, relevant and actionable consolidated insights by region based on assessments of markets and competitors, both existing and potential to assist with the development of appropriate strategies and actions.

• Identify and collect appropriate customer, competitor, market, economic, financial and/or operational data.
• Consolidate and analyst the data collected above and translate data into meaningful, executable and effective market and intelligence reports.

The jobholder works in a team that is responsible for collection, analysis, storage, sharing and reporting of data, information and other business analytics to support senior management in day-to-day decision making and the development, planning and execution of strategic initiatives in response to the insight provided.

Key Result Areas:

• Analysis of the market and competitive environment, providing insights that support strategic decision-making and internal presentations by senior leadership.
• Creates and updates comprehensive industry, competitor and customer models including, but not limited to, market shares, growth projections and trends, and market forces.
• Performs thorough, systematic analysis of key industry trends; the general social economic and political environment; legal and regulatory issues; customers; current and potential competitors.
• Provides market and competitive insights through presentations and reports to the Executive Leadership Team and various internal management teams to allow effective strategic and tactical decision-making and implementation.
• Supplies the market and competitive intelligence component of strategic planning, and proactively makes recommendations to management concerning key intelligence items that require further consideration.
• Maintains up-to-date knowledge of data sources, evaluating their credibility and potential utility, and leverages them across the company where appropriate.
• Develops and maintains relationships with key internal customers to identify emerging needs and business challenges.
• Works with internal business customers to enhance their use of strategic analysis and market and competitor intelligence. Develop a BI Portal to ensure key info and reports are readily available and appropriate communication channels are maintained. Collaborates internally to ensure intelligence is shared with appropriate groups and individuals.

Experience:

• Minimum 5 years´ experience within the field of Strategy and Market Intelligence in a B2B environment.
• Experience of identifying, consolidating and analyzing a variety of data sources into coherent market intelligence insights for senior management.

Skills & Behavior:

• Self-starter, well-motivated and excellent communicator.
• Excellent communication skills, fluent in English (written and spoken), other languages are an advantage.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to undertake further relevant study to develop skills.
• Ability to combine (sometimes conflicting) complex multiple sources of data and prepare a meaningful executive summary to drive strategic actions.
• Decisions referred to manager would include how to best present information to the BU executive management, determining project priority and the overall strategy.
