GenAI Data Engineer (12-month contract)

Strategic Staffing Soltuions International's client, one of the world’s leading integrated energy companies, is opening up a new role of GenAI Data Engineer in Lithuania. The work can be done fully remotely from any city of Lithuania.

You will support the team in operationalizing Proof of Concept (PoC) tools and advancing data management and AI initiatives. This role will focus on technical data extraction, glossary creation, workflow automation, and integration of AI solutions with platforms such as SAP and Maximo.

What you will do:

• Support PoC and production projects focused on data management and AI.
• Collaborate with business and technical teams to deliver scalable solutions.
• Contribute to future projects involving generative AI and enterprise integration.
• Use Databricks, Power Platform, and related tools to extract table data, prepare CSV files, and manage input/output folders for glossary and AI tools. Automate manual processes where feasible.
• Configure technical environments, including installing and managing Python, VS Code, Copilot licenses, and software dependencies.
• Run scripts to bulk process table data, generate glossaries, and review/validate attribute definitions for accuracy.
• Design and optimize generative AI workflows for data cleansing, mapping, and enrichment. Fine-tune models and prompt engineering for advanced data manipulation.
• Build and manage data pipelines for training and scalable deployment of large language models.
• Integrate AI solutions with platforms (SAP, Maximo), collaborating with cross-functional teams.
• Ensure data governance, document processes, analyze data quality, and provide recommendations.
• Communicate with management, technical, and client teams to determine requirements and best practices.

What you will need:

• Ability and willingness to start as soon as possible.
• 2+ years of experience in generative AI applications.
• Proficiency in Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch, and NLP frameworks.
• Strong understanding of ETL processes, data profiling, cleansing, and governance.
• Experience with Databricks, Powershell, VS Code, and enterprise platforms (SAP, Maximo).
• Ability to set up technical environments and manage software dependencies.
• Excellent analytical thinking, business acumen, and relationship management skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, or related technical field.
• Preferred: Experience with data lake and SQL databases, prompt engineering, model tuning, asset management systems, and industrial equipment.
