Software Engineer (JavaScript)

We are looking for an Intermediate Software Engineer with expertise in JavaScript for a major client based in Luxembourg.

Main tasks:

• Conduct thorough review and analysis of functional and technical requirements
• Design software solutions and provide accurate effort estimations
• Implement programming changes using Python, Java, JavaScript, XML, WSDL, and SQL
• Perform unit testing to validate functionality and ensure code quality
• Investigate and resolve software bugs and defects across environments
• Provide second-level support for production issues and escalated technical inquiries
• Follow up on reported problems and ensure timely resolution
• Perform root cause analysis to prevent recurring issues and improve system stability
• Automate CI/CD processes and manage infrastructure provisioning using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools

Requirements:

Education:

• Master’s (preferably) degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

Professional experience:

• 3+ years of experience as a Software Engineer in SQL and JavaScript (React, Angular, etc.)
• 2+ years of experience in Outsystem
• 3+ years of hands-on experience in React, React Native, and JavaScript.
• 3+ years of experience with Anaconda and Python
• Proven experience in JBOSS, Java, JSF, Spring Boot
• Experience with Agile development methodologies
• Experience with AWS and Azure
• Experience in relational databases and DBMS systems (Oracle DB, Sybase DB, PostgreSQL DB, MySQL)
• Proven experience in building APIs and working with Kafka for internal and external products
• Skilled in DevOps and CI/CD practices using Jenkins, Maven, AzureDevOps, Terraform, Ansible, Kubernetes, Linux, Helm
• Continuous build and integration using Sonar and Liquibase
• Experience with Github or another source code repository
• Experience with Shell scripting (Unix/Bash).
• Strong knowledge of Java 11, Spring Framework, REST/SOAP web services, JMS and React
• Experience with Application Servers (JBoss, Tomcat, NodeJS, Spring, etc.)

Languages:

• Proficiency in English (B2-level or higher)
