A Senior Java Engineer to join the Client's team focused on building scalable, high-performance systems that power critical customer journeys across retail and wholesale banking globally.

The main goal is to deliver common banking functionalities by contributing to the Party and Agreement Management (PAM) system. This system serves as the global Master Data Management solution for managing customer data, enabling worldwide consumers to connect to global services and ultimately decommission local Data Management systems. Your work directly enables the Client's strategy to transform into a next-generation financial services platform.

As a Senior Java Engineer, you will be at the heart of scalable technology platforms, accountable for delivering crucial banking functionalities. You will be working within a squad responsible for the end-to-end customer journey, owning the stack and the journey from concept to deployment.

• Collaborate with the Product Owner and Engineers to interpret business requirements and deliver features with real business value.

• Foster a collaborative team environment and actively learn from your colleagues.

• Influence technology choices and contribute to the architecture of newly developed components and services.

• Review code meaningfully, focusing on the business logic and high-level design.
  
  

The squad operates with full ownership of the end-to-end stack, focusing on the service - the customer data store and data layer of the Banking Technology (Touchpoint) Platform. This includes continuous integration, deployment, and operational excellence for mission-critical, business-critical systems.

The role involves participating in the Client's Stand-by regulation. This is due to the business-critical nature of the systems (client processes, payment processes, software applications) which require 24/7 accessibility. You will be part of a rotational schedule to act quickly during unforeseen circumstances or incidents, with compensation awarded for the inconvenience.

• Extensive experience with Java 17+ and Spring Boot.

• Proficiency in Infrastructure and DevOps tasks (e.g., Azure, CI/CD pipelines, certificates).

• Experience with Observability technologies such as Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK.

• Strong interpersonal communication skills.

• Experience in mentoring colleagues.
  
  

• Experience with Neo4j or other graph databases.

• Knowledge of Kafka.

• Understanding of Domain Driven Design & Hexagonal Architecture.

• Familiarity with tools like Git, Maven, and Cucumber.
