In the Department of Computational Science and Technology (CST), research is carried out involving small groups of socially interactive virtual characters and agents (also known as SIAs). These embodied agents typically have a 3D representation and are able to interact with humans by expressing themselves in an intuitive manner through verbal and non-verbal behaviours. We are now looking for a postdoc to investigate interactions between small groups of socially interactive virtual characters and humans. The successful candidate is expected to conduct research at the highest international level and assist in the supervision of master's students.

Requirements
- A doctoral degree or an equivalent foreign degree. This eligibility requirement must be met no later than the time the employment decision is made.
- Demonstrated research expertise related to real-time computer graphics programming, social behaviours for virtual characters and human-centered evaluation methods.
- Excellent research and peer-reviewed publications related to the areas above.
- You have well developed analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrate excellent knowledge of the English language, such as written and oral skills as it is required in your daily work.
- A doctoral degree or an equivalent foreign degree, obtained within the last three years prior to the application deadline
- Demonstrated knowledge of the following three areas: advanced interactive methods for virtual characters, for example through the use of modern game engines such as Unity 3D; extended reality technologies (VR, MR and AR) for enabling immersive interactive experiences with virtual characters; advanced human-centered evaluation methods, for example the collection and use of biometric data.
- Awareness of diversity and equal treatment issues with a particular focus on gender equality.
- You are independent in your work and have no problem collaborating with others.
